The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is an event familiar to all the world's prominent stone suppliers and jewellers. The exhibition visitors are hard to surprise, but this year’s booth of the Russian brand MOISEIKIN was in the center of attention of professionals.
A jeweller from Yekaterinburg, Viktor Moiseikin, presented rare auction stones, the Gems Сouture project pieces - a round lavender- coloured taaffeite weighing 39 carats and a large orange-red diamond-cut ruby weighing 31.4 carats.
Both stones having highest purity characteristics, the taaffeite is awarded with The Guinness World Records certificate as the largest one in the world. These stones as well as jewels from the new collections “Fluttering Spring”, “Tzarina” and "Minara"were exposed in the “Extraordinary Design” pavilion together with creations of more than 30 world’s most famous designer brands. "...Rare gemstones often become collector values.
Following this request, I came up with the Gems Сouture project, which is based on an artistic view of gemstones, the ability to "dress stones" and create "wearable" art," Viktor Moiseikin said.
During the exhibition, the Ural jeweller managed to establish a dialogue with entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and other countries.
Thus, Viktor Moiseikin was invited by China University of Geosciences (Beijing) to participate in an international educational programme. He is expected to tell Chinese students about the aesthetics of Russian jewellery art, innovative technologies and his unique development - "Waltzing Brilliance®️".
It's interesting to mention that the first international insight of this technology took place in Hong Kong several years ago, when Viktor Moiseikin won the International Jewellery Design Excellent Award and received a prize for innovation in design for his "Firebird" jewellery collection.
